How long is an IELTS score valid?

Your IELTS Test Report Form (TRF) will be valid for two (2) years.

How soon can a candidate re-sit the test?

A candidate may re-sit the IELTS test at any time.

What is the ideal age to sit an IELTS test?

It’s not recommended to take IELTS Test if you are under the age of 16 years. However, it is a personal decision.

What are the available test dates with IDP IELTS test centres in Nepal?

IDP IELTS test centres in Nepal are available . Please refer here for available IELTS test dates for both paper-based and computer-based IELTS in Nepal.

How can I register for IELTS?

Can I pay for the test fee by cheque or cash?

No, the payment of the test fee by cheque or cash is not acceptable. You should never pay cash to anybody towards payment of your IELTS test fee. If you do so, you will do it at your own risk and cost.

Can I withdraw/cancel my application for the test?

Withdrawals/Cancellations are permitted on the following grounds: • Applicant requests in writing, along with their original proof of test payment to the below address: • Request for Transfer of Test Date (IELTS, IELTS for UKVI & IELTS for Life Skills) A request using the “Transfer, Cancellation Application Form” for transferring of a test date (i.e. postponement or preponement) to another date must reach the centre at least five (5) weeks prior to the original test date. The allocation of the next test date will be at the sole discretion of the centre and subject to availability.

Can I change test dates or request to postpone sitting the test?

IELTS on computer remains the same as paper-based IELTS in terms of content, scoring, level of difficulty and question types; the only difference is that you will be able to take your Listening, Reading and Writing tests on computer.

Where can I take IELTS on computer?

IELTS on computer is currently available only in Kathmandu.

How much does it cost?

The test fee for IELTS on computer is the same for both modules of the test (Academic and General Training) i.e. NPR 21,500 (subject to change without prior notice).
